My name is Daria Worytko,

I have a Master's degree in Psychology from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. During my studies, I completed the specialization paths in Family Psychology and Educational Psychology. I graduated from the Pedagogical College of the Jagiellonian University and have a Bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies in Cognitive Science (JU). I am a Social Skills Trainer (1st and 2nd degree of qualification) and Brief Solution Focused Therapist (BSFT) in the certification process. I hold many diagnostic certifications and have experience in this area. I work in English, while my native language is Polish. As someone with experience of migration to Norway, I offer a unique perspective and understanding in working with my clients.

I specialise in individual work (diagnostic and therapeutic) with children and adults. I have extensive experience in working with families requiring support at various stages of family life (from attempts at conception, through pregnancy, postpartum and subsequent stages including divorce). I have experience working with traumatic events and loss of the loved ones. I promote the importance of early detection of difficulties and the development of individual and parental competences by implementing effective techniques consistent with the values and needs of individuals. I have experience in working with groups of various ages wishing to better their social skills.

I gained my professional experience while working in non-profit organisations, as well as public and private mental health facilities in Poland, i.a. work as a diagnostic psychologist in a public Psychological and Pedagogical Counseling Center (where I held dozens of consultations every week, with over 200 children and their families in pre- and post-diagnostic care) and therapeutic work in a private Health Clinics. Moreover, I completed internships at the University Hospital (addiction treatment department), as well as kindergartens, primary and secondary schools.

To ensure the highest quality of the services provided by me, I am constantly expanding my skills by completing certified courses and attending seminars for professionals. I regularly supervise my work.

I am the author of an English-written scientific paper on growing up in a multicultural environment and the experience of migration (specifically to Norway).

I promote reliable, up to date, science based knowledge of Psychology. I have extensive experience in providing psychoeducational services both to individual clients and in a group setting.
