MEETING IN THE OFFICE
SAFE SPACE
My office is located in Oslo (Røa) and is easily accessible by public transport (T-bane and buses). The building is adapted to accommodate people with mobility difficulties. If you suspect that for some reason you might experience difficulty commuting to the office - please consider online consultation.
During consultations in my office, I guarantee your safety, privacy and confidentiality. The information you share with me and the fact that the consultation took place constitutes confidential information. The only limitation to client-psychologist confidentiality is the risk to your life or lives of others. The documentation I keep (schedule, questionnaires, meeting notes, etc.) ensures the anonymity of clients. There is no place for prejudice or taboo topics in my office. Regardless of your background, past, gender, age, gender identity or sexual orientation, you are welcome here.
TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF
The time we spend together is dedicated to you and your needs. You don't need to prepare much for this meeting. Confusion or the feeling of “I don't know where to start” are completely natural. My office is a safe, warm and tolerant space. So don't be afraid of being judged. Signal your doubts and ask questions. Honesty and openness during meetings are the basis for building the foundations for change. Before starting the session, take care of your basic physiological needs. Water or tea will be available to you upon request.
CONSULTATION
IN REGARDS TO CHILDREN
If our meeting concerns a child, the first consultation must take place without the child's presence. This arrangement will allow for freedom of expression (no need for censorship) and protection of the child's feelings. If you are the parent of a newborn, baby can be present and fed during the meeting. If the purpose of the meeting is to talk about the child and/or parenting methods, having both parents present is often helpful (but not necessary).
If further cooperation concerns individual work with the child, the parent is asked to bring / pick up the child from the scheduled meetings. Regardless of the child's age, the parent usually stays outside the office for most of the meeting. However, the child's comfort and safety are of highest priority, therefor parent may be asked to stay in the office. Older children will be able to decide on their own whether they want to participate in the meeting with parent or alone.
FORMS OF PAYMENT
Payment for consultations can be made via the VIPPS application, card or in cash. It is possible to make a bank transfer (two days before the meeting). The client has the option of canceling the meeting without incurring fees no later than 24 hours before the scheduled visit, otherwise the client will be responsible to cover the costs of the session.
The consultation lasts 50 minutes (starts and ends at the agreed time). Please, don’t be late.
