MEETING ONLINE
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Make sure your internet connection is safe and stable. Prior to the consultation check if your microphone and headphones are working. The ability to see each other makes the experience of the meeting take on a more natural form (it enables non-verbal communication). Moreover, checking the efficiency of the equipment in advance will allow us to fully focus on the difficulties in question, without unnecessary loss of valuable time. If possible, use a laptop or desktop computer rather than a phone.
The meeting will take place via the Google Meets platform, which does not require you to set up any additional accounts. A few minutes before the agreed upon hour of the consultation, you will receive an email with a link that you can click to join the online meeting.
PREPARE YOUR SPACE
During consultations in my office, I guarantee your safety, privacy, silence and confidentiality (the only limitation to client-psychologist confidentiality is the risk to your life or lives of others). During online meetings, some of these characteristics become our shared responsibility. Make sure that the space you are in allows you to talk comfortably. Silence your phone for the duration of the meeting and make sure your children are taken care of. If the purpose of the meeting is to talk about the child, having both parents present is often helpful (but not necessary), make sure the child is not around and listening in on the conversation. Similarly, if your child attends a therapeutic meeting, do not break the confidentiality rule by eavesdropping. I encourage you to have a notebook and pen at hand. During the meeting I will be taking notes, which are also subject to high confidentiality. Online meetings cannot be recorded by either party.
TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF
The time we spend together is dedicated to you and your needs. You don't need to prepare much for this meeting. Confusion or the feeling of “I don't know where to start” are completely natural. My office is a safe, warm and tolerant space. So don't be afraid of being judged. Please remember that the topics discussed at the meeting and your participation in it are confidential information. Signal your doubts and ask questions. Honesty and openness during meetings are the basis for building the foundations for change. Before starting the session, take care of your basic physiological needs (sleep, thirst, food, toilet). Have a glass of water with you, but try to avoid eating.
FORM OF PAYMENT
Payment for online consultations is made via the Stripe payment system. After the meeting, you will receive an invoice, which you will pay by clicking the "pay invoice" button.
The client has the option of canceling the meeting without incurring fees no later than 24 hours before the scheduled visit, otherwise the client will be responsible to cover the costs of the session.
The consultation lasts 50 minutes (starts and ends at the agreed time). Please, don’t be late.
